Oh, hell
Edward Woodward died today. Dammit -- he was a wonderful actor, and I had the biggest crush on him when I was in high school (first saw him in THE WICKER MAN, then in BREAKER MORANT -- OMGYUM).
Which leads me to an amusing story -- I wound up getting a chance to speak at a CRUSADE panel back at one of the West Coast Worldcons. The entire cast, including Peter Woodward, was in attendance, and I admitted to the teenage hormone storm in the prelude to my question, much to Peter's amusement (I suspect he got that a LOT). Years later, Lyndon ran into Peter at a train station in London, and mentioned the incident. Apparently Peter grinned and said, "Yesssss, I remember your wife."
To absent friends. And dammit dammit dammit.
Chugging along
Wish I had something pithy to write here, but to be honest I think I'm coming down with something, so I'm just going to post this and maybe drink some orange juice or summat.
