Day Eight:

13482 / 50000 words. 27% done!

Homemade Low Carb Cheesecake?

SO GOOD. And OMNOMNOMNOM for good measure.

Granted, the fat content is still high because, come on, this is CHEESECAKE. But a small piece is perfectly acceptable, especially since as of last night I can straight-leg deadlift your average small actress (aka 100 pounds). Of course, my lower back, butt and thigh muscles are screaming at me this morning, but it's still progress. Once I get up to 60 lb dumbbells, I can straight-leg deadlift your average AVERAGE actress, huzzah!

Also dropped another pound, so make that a total of 15 pounds lost since all this started. Granted, it's a little slower than I would have liked, but it's still downward movement, which is good. I find that getting off my ass and doing things like cleaning the random piles of stuff I've strewn in my wake really does make a difference, tra la.

And on the Eighth Day, She Said, "Let's Podcast"

Which we did, to make up for the fact that Idiot Girl(TM) here screwed up and accidentally deleted her track of our original version of Episode 90 while trying to clear test files out of the Recording Bin. Yeah, look, I never said I was smart, I just make the words look pretty.

And speaking of words looking pretty, I actually have three whole chapters that, while rough as the dickens, appear to follow the plot and even murmur enticingly in a couple of spots (they'll sing when it comes time to edit).

I also realized that I didn't explain to Lyndon what exactly it was that I was doing this November -- he thought I was editing White Knight, Queen Alice (I'd asked him a question earlier about where two men might hang out in early Victorian times if one of them was trying to avoid the pub). Now, mind you, I AM editing WKQA in tandem with A Most Malicious Murder, and said so. He just looked at me as if I'd just confessed to a secret passion for eating durian fruit while tightrope walking across the Grand Canyon, and returned upstairs to his siege.

So I like to work on multiple projects at the same time. Is that so wrong?
