Day Six:

10024 / 50000 words. 20% done!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

I just thought I'd go ahead and post what I'd done over lunch. I also want to go over a little bit if at all possible, since I really, REALLY need to clean the house this weekend and that's probably going to cut into writing time.

I know, I know -- housework comes second to writing. In my case, however, housework has also come second to writing and miniatures for the last month or so, and I'm getting really tired of having crap scattered over every flat surface we own. Besides, the master bath is STILL waiting to be put back together, and I need to buckle down and get it properly set up. We've been in the house for a year, now -- it would be nice to be able to take, oh, an actual bath, close the blinds in the bathroom, that sort of thing.

But to return to the topic at hand, I made the huge horking mistake of explaining Nanowrimo to one of my coworkers -- now she stops me every morning to find out how much I've written, why I haven't hit my quota if I haven't hit it yet, and where I am in the outline. Electronic peer pressure is great, but this is like having your very own nun standing at your desk wanting to know where your homework is.
