I'm feeling extremely perky these days!

Then again, having a job where I don't wake up in the morning and think, "I just want to die" does wonders for my outlook. :-)

And my, but this weekend was productive as a result -- I got all the old VHS tapes boxed up and stored behind the TV and all the DVDs put away (which is a bit like playing Live TETRIS, as we have all the movies together and all the TV show box sets together, and shelving the new purchases required quite a bit of shelf shuffling), purchased a new purse, started putting together the July issue of Helix SF, the bulk of the laundry is done, the recycling bins are filling nicely (MAN, we threw away a lot of recyclable plastic), and I got voicemails and guest hosts lined up for this week's podcast recordings. So that's all good.

This week I plan on giving the kitchen and the bathrooms a good solid cleaning, finishing my entry for Sword and Sorceress 23, vacuuming out the dryer vent, finishing up the Helix work, doing some updates for my regular web client, recording the new podcast eps, paying and mailing out the bills, and maybe going into Lenscrafters and getting some prescription sunglasses because this business of driving in rush hour traffic with the sun blaring into my eyes sucks.

I also think that I may want to get an ASUS Eee PC. I was hoping that the local Best Buy would have one so that I could test the keyboard action and see if I liked it, but they didn't have one. They did have a Sony in the same size, but the buggering thing was over $2K, the mouse action was dreadful (it took me multiple tries to get the mouse to move) and the keyboard action seemed sluggish and sorta sticky. Yeah, I don't think so. I can't really buy it for a few more weeks, anyway, so I'll keep looking around until I can find a place where I can give one a test run.

So how's your Monday turning out so far?
