First day back at work

And Lord, but I feel like I've come home after wandering for seven years in the desert. The job itself looks to be fun, interesting, and worthwhile, the folks are nicer than hell, all the cubicles are loaded down with pictures, toys and other decorations, and I get to ride in with Lyndon two times a week. You can't beat that with a stick, even if you tried..

I'm sure I shall feel even more pumped about everything after I get a full night's sleep (only five hours last night due to being catted, and I was just woken up tonight by what I can only assume was a very loud and repetitive videogame being played in the bedroom below mine, tempting me to go downstairs and get Valkyrie on their ass.

The hell of it is, I was wearing earplugs, too, and the BOOMbuhBOOMbuhBOOMbuh just came straight though them. Really, what part of, "You are not allowed to make loud noises that can be heard in other apartments between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM" do these bozos not grok?

It also doesn't help that my left arm is hurting like a female hound dog from weightlifting yesterday. Must go off and take painkillers, yes yes. But at least I have a job that I think I will truly enjoy, and man, that feels fabulous.
