Oh...dear
Well, let's see. First off, I'm involved in a new group blog (formed to encourage one of the members, who's blindingly funny and just needed a bit of a push). It has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with writing, apart from my fiction contributions, but if you like to read marvelously bitchy commentary on pop culture feel free to try out http://foreverfabulous.blogspot.com.
Next, I've run into one of those situations where I'm watching someone blithely jump over a cliff, metaphorically speaking. Under normal circumstances I would try to intervene, but in this case I've studied the path to said cliff and am forced to admit that it may be for the best.
Oh,
and my sleep cycle is screwed to a fare-thee-well and I do believe I
would blow Rush Limbaugh if it meant I could have eight hours of uninterrupted
sleep. I'm tired, people. I'm not sure what's going on here, but
I've been surviving on serial catnaps and it's not doing anything for
my long-term memory (it's embarrassing when you temporarily forget
your own zip code). I'm trying something to see if I can fix this, but
it'll take a couple of days to find out if it's working -- in the meantime,
I'm doing my best to avoid operating heavy machinery or anything
that might involve upper cerebral functions.
So what sort of crap are y'all dealing with right now?
For all you 1099 contractors
Remember that tomorrow is Quarterly Tax Day, and get your payment in the mail. The nice thing for us is that the collection point is in Dallas -- if worse came to worse, I could literally walk the payment into the IRS office.
