Thank you all!

I don't know if it was the good vibes, the liquids, the vitamins, the two bowls of pho (today's with extra chiles) or some combination thereof, but I'm feeling decidedly better and appear to have dodged the flu bullet. Yay!

In fact, I even felt okay enough to wander around Walmart and indulge in some clothes shopping -- got some decent walking shoes with orthotic support, some sweet tops and a couplejean stretch pants (yeah, yeah, but I want to be comfortable) that will coordinate nicely with my shorts. All in all, I should be one stylin' tourist at the House of the Mouse, which is always a good thing.

It's DONE!

Yes, the King Kong quilt is finally finished, had its quilt lines eradicated with Shout, dubbed Kong Go Bongo, and is now ready for presentation to its soon-to-be owner as soon as I get back from Florida. Here are some pics:

Here's the quilt spread across the futon in my office, in an attempt at an artistic layout. Hey, it's a small office.
Another artsy shot down a valley of Kongs slugging it out with T. rexes. I think the batiks worked out quite nicely with the printed motifs.

Lyndon: "When you came to Guildford all those years ago, I bet you never thought you'd be getting a quilt hanger in the bargain."

Me: "And you're my monkey, too!"

Lyndon: "You're not going to forget that, are you?"

Me: "Not soon, no."

A close-up of one of the batik/text double squares. I'm really pleased with the color selection for these.
