Yeah, so...

I skipped my walk yesterday, mainly because when I looked up and saw it was 2:00 AM, I figured, "Screw it, I'm tired."

Me, OCD much? Nah...

But I did the walk tonight, and the whole complex has this wonderful woody smell from all the downed trees that reminds me of...actually, I'm not sure. Band camp? All I know is that it smells yummy, and has some mildly erotic connotations because of 1) the age I was at when I first smelled it and 2) the person who was carbonating my hormones at that time. If I could pull a Peggy Sue Got Married dealie and mentally travel back to that point in time, I do believe I'd take the opportunity to give him a slow, thorough up-and-down look. And then I'd smile.

Um. Did I mention that the exercise was having a beneficial effect on my libido? Moving along...

In other good news, the jackets were delivered to their owner, and I cleared off the kitchen table so that the Piemaker could do his magic with carrots and Carbolose and Splenda. When I came back from running the jackets over, I walked up the stairs and an absolutely heavenly aroma of hot apple pie. I mentioned this to the Piemaker, and he corrected me.

"It smells like apple cake," he said.

And indeed, he came up with this lovely loaf cake that contains chopped apples, carrots and nuts. Apparently the carb limit is slightly higher than his other cakes because of the apples, but it's still a hell of a lot better than a box of Ho-Hos. And hey, having a relatively low-carb piece of apple/carrot cake is a nice way to end the day.

And that's really about it. I wish I could come up with some sparkling ending to this entry, but it was just your bog-standard Saturday.
