Start your engines!
All right, people, the Spring issue of Helix is going live tonight at midnight, and we've got a faboo ish for you this quarter. In fiction, there's a compelling new piece on the evils of war by Robert Reed, Berry Kercheval delivers a hilarious Musketeers pastiche, and Jennifer Pelland takes a thoughtful look at the future of human society. In poetry, we have some fabulous pieces by Mary Horton, Greg Beatty and Samantha Henderson, as well as Bud Webster's brilliant column on Past Masters, Steven H Silver on the state of alternative history, and the quarterly editorials by our fearless leaders William Sanders and Lawrence Watt-Evans. Good stuff, Maynard.
Be there, or be quadrahedral!
And if that wasn't enough
The new season of Doctor Who starts tonight with the new assistant, and there was much rejoicing in the Fletcher household. Granted, I'll miss Rose, but everything I've seen of Martha looks really, really good, and more David Tennant is always great.
