Sooooo tired
Judging from the fact that I pretty much collapsed Friday night and spent much of Saturday dozing when I wasn't hysterically cleaning, combined with the output from my nose and my marvelous imitation of a seal bark, I do believe I have a cold. Bleah.
However, as Saturday and Sunday was the North Texas Irish Festival and I really didn't want to miss all of it, I sucked it up like the brave puppy I am and wandered around Fair Park with Lyndon for three hours listening to some great bands, touring the various arts and crafts booths, and ordering a kilt for Lyndon.
Yes, you read that right. I've been wanting to get him a Utilikilt for some time, now, and as he's fully aware of the fact that he has killer legs he's been quite agreeable with the idea. Unfortunately the Utilikilt people had completely run out of kilts in his size, so they gave us his measurements and told us to order a kilt from the online store.
Fine and dandy, so on we went, him checking out the leather goods booths and me perusing the music booths and bemoaning once again that we live in an apartment with the soundproofing of a cereal box. And then, we found it -- a proper, honest-to-Ghu kilt booth, offering both the full 8-yard traditional kilts and the 4-yard athletic kilts. Both of which, by the way, are muy expensive, but hey, you only live once.
More importantly, they could make kilts in the Fletcher tartan (yes, there's a Fletcher tartan), so I paid for a kilt to be made for my honey in his clan tartan. He's going to wear it at Scarborough Faire with one of his pirate shirts. I'm so proud.
And so tired. Is it nap time yet?
