And the beat goes on
Aaaaaaaand the media tie-in is done, polished and sent off to the editor! Here's a snippet from the lead-in -- if you can hear a certain rumpled reporter doing this as voiceover, I've done it right.
Los Angeles is a city of culture -- ask any museum curator, gallery owner or theater manager looking for money to fund their next big show. Better yet, ask Joe Espinoza, a security guard for the Los Angeles Museum of Arts & Culture. He's seen it all pass through his museum; icemen from the Alps, collections of the Dutch Masters, even a display of Andean jade skulls that would make any self-respecting psychic run screaming from the room.
Unfortunately for Mr. Espinoza, he's about to get up close and personal with something he didn't see coming. Something with a long blade, and a thirst for vengeance...
And tomorrow, ConDFW V
So now I've just got to pack my various chapbooks for autographing, print out the first chapter of BEST DEFENSE for my reading tomorrow, put UNDERCOVER GODMOTHER on a memory card so that I can use Barbie's First Laptop to work on it and "Princess Lizzie and the Pirate Queen" at the con, print off Helix fliers, locate the outfit I wanted to wear tomorrow, make sure it's clean, go work out, take a shower, bleach my eyebrows and get some sleep.
No pressure.
