And now, I get to bore you with a whole new writing project!
No, not UNDERCOVER GODMOTHER -- this one is for a media tie-in antho featuring a well-known 70's genre show. Let me just say, "rumpled blue suit," and leave it at that.
But it's insanely fun to write, especially since I adored this show as a kid, and at the moment I should have everything polished and ready for submission to the editor by Thursday or so. I have no idea what's happening in my brain, but it's getting easier and easier to plot stories these days and actually finish them. Lyndon said it's like any other muscle -- if I work at it long enough, I develop it, and then the heavy lifting turns into those girly pink-covered one-pound weights.
Which is fine by me. Once I get this piece out the door, I have three short stories to finish for various anthos (one of which needs to be done and ready for submission by next Wednesday -- eep!) while I'm working on UG, and then a slew of editing looms in front of me in April once I finish UG. Holy crap, I'm actually turning into a professional writer -- who knew?
