Pardon me while I hack and cough here -- yeah, colds in April are just the best, aren't they? Especially when the local Texas weather decides that it needs a laugh as much as anyone and reverts to February for the upcoming week. To be honest, I can't really bitch about anything that lets us keep the A/C off for one day longer, but it was snowing in Amarillo. In Texas. In April. That just ain't right.

Speaking of other things that ain't right, why in the name of Boombah did Nurse Laverne have to die on SCRUBS? Did the actress get another gig on a show somewhere? Did the producers decide that they had to kill somebody to shake up the show a bit? I'm confused and more than a little bummed, I'll have you know -- Laverne was the sarcastic mother figure of the show, and I'm going to miss her.

The only positive thing about the day is that I got all the bills paid and mailed off, and I still have some money left over from the paycheck so I can take the Hoosiermobile in to the dealership and find out why the engine light keeps going on and off (I'm guessing, based on someone who had the same damn thing happen to her, that it's my knock sensor going screwy, as it started when I put in what I think was a damp tank of gas). And I need to get a cracked lower bicuspid fixed, and get my hoo-hoo checked out (and listen to yet another lecture about my weight. Then again, I may take a leaf from a friend's book and tell him to get stuffed if he starts in with the lecturing). So much for left-over money.
