Stupid frigging Peruvian Death Flu
Which started a week ago in the morning, forcing me to miss
Aggiecon and almost two days of work (I went in Monday morning this week, but
left around 10:00 AM when I realized I was about to decorate my keyboard with
my breakfast). Until yesterday I still felt nauseated every time I eat something,
but feeling nauseated is better than feeling dizzy from hunger every time I
do something strenuous like, oh, stand up.
But at least you now know that I'm not dead or missing in action, which was a concern for some people who didn't see me at College Station last weekend. Even sick, I'm still thoughtful. And hey, it could be worse -- I could've been pitched off a horse, requiring a stay in hospital where I'd be known as "Horse Girl."
Meanwhile, on the writing side of things...
The wordcount on the novella:
22,650 / 45,000
(50.3%)
So I'm halfway finished, which is a blessing, but thanks to the PDF I'm also dreadfully behind where I should be, which means this is going to be one hell of a busy weekend, what with the client work I also need to do, plus the massaging of a submission that I want to make next week. But hey, I'll sleep when I'm dead, right?
