And it's a lovely, productive Saturday morning
Well, afternoon, now, but you know what I mean. Got up at a nice reasonable 8:00 AM, waited for the house to warm up (I'd left the windows open last night, and it was freezing, so the furnace had to be kicked on for a bit), then got cracking. So far, the wordcount stands at:
101,448 / 105,000
(96.6%)
I figure I'll spend the afternoon doing some VERY necessary cleaning, maybe go see a movie with the Bodacious Brit, and pound out another K this evening, after I've purchased some headphones that don't make me hunker over the keyboard due to an extremely short cord.
Ahhhhhhhh...no dust
Since I haven't really given this place a good solid cleaning since early
December (yes, I'm a slob, I know), and I'd already chunked out a K this
morning, I decided to spend the afternoon cleaning.
In six hours, I've gotten around 1/3 of my living room. Yeah, it was a dump. HowEVER, everything in that area is now denuded of dust (including the top of one bookcase), the Wedgwood collection has been washed, the three-tier plant stand that holds the Wedgwood collection has been cleaned and the carpet underneath vacuumed, the CDs have been put away, the bookcase has been neatly organized and all the tchotchkies on it cleaned, all the DVDs reorganized and put away by movie, special event or series status (we have 9 1/2 shelves of DVDs, with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Foo), the TV and its multifarious peripherals have pulled out so that I could dust and vacuum behind/under it, the window behind the TV has been washed, and the mantle and associated picture frames are clean and shining. I now need to clean the corner in which I'm sitting, tackle the end table where my beloved stacks all his crap, and clean/organize the other bookcase.
Tomorrow, I'll do the kitchen and foyer. When I'm not writing, of course.
