Four-day weeks are nice
Working for what amounts to a financial institution means that you get all the Federal/bank holidays off, so since today is President's Day, I spent the bulk of it catching up on my reading, slouching around some antique stores in McKinney (Steve, I saw some more purple glass, if Anne is interested), and generally enjoying the fact that the temps were above freezing once again.
The Black Purrmonster is also aware that the temps are above freezing again, because he has been pestering me nonstop to go out on the balcony. Note that he's pestering ME to go out -- I'm more than happy to open the door and let him hang out for awhile on the cold concrete, but I'm not going out there. Daft moggy. He's also found a new favorite place to hang -- if I'm in the recliner and I'm not using my left arm to type, he likes to snuggle up between the arm and my body, rest his head on my boob and either stare at me or what what's happening on the computer screen.
Houston, we have a schedule!
The programming for ConDFW V has been distributed, and here's my schedule:
FRIDAY
6:30 PM Reading (Live Oak)
9:00 PM Yard Dog Road Show (Mesquite)
SATURDAY
12:00 PM Autographs
1:00 PM (moderator) Trends in Fantasy (Pecan)
8:00 PM Making Better Dirty Books: Porn vs. Erotica (Mesquite)
SUNDAY
10:00 AM Keeping it Short: Short Story 101 (Rose)
And because I'm all about the advertising side of the writing dodge, cookies, other goodies and Belaurient Press chapbooks will be available at my reading and autographing. Come on down!
