And the con season is almost upon us

Mine starts next weekend with ConDFW V over February 24 - 26. Man, I can't believe we're already up into the fifth year -- I was one of the guests at the first ConDFW, and it's lovely to see how it's grown over the years.

I have no idea what my paneling will be (the programming chief is a brand new daddy, and one suspects he's a bit distracted at the moment) but there will definitely be a Yard Dog Press Traveling Road Show, and with any luck I'll get a reading. Now I just need to get some stuff ready, tra-la...

Speaking of reading

The Bodacious Brit and I were behind a ginormous Suburban this evening, which contained stickers indicating that the driver was an Aggie Mom who Supported Our Troops. The third sticker in the collection, which I pointed out to Lyndon, stated that She Stood With George W. Bush.

"Well, I'd stand with Bush, too," Lyndon mused. "That way, I've got the Secret Service between me and Cheney."

And you wonder why I adore this man.
