Eh

It's another Monday, which means another week of work, which means I'm thismuchcloser to being debt-free by the end of March. But that's about all I can say for it.

Speaking of debt, we hit the Trophy Nissan dealership in Mesquite yesterday after they were closed -- one of the managers was still there, however, and made an appointment for us to come back tonight and look at Frontiers. We did scope out one on the lot -- it had the right cab configuration (king cab) and was a great red color, but it was a stick shift and Lyndon really wants an automatic V6 (he's not the gear-jamming type -- he just wants it to roll in a forward direction when he puts his foot on the gas).

He's also worrying about the cost of a new car, since he's a contractor rather than a permanent employee. I have to remind him that 1) there's no guarantee these days that a permanent employee in the tech fields has any more tenure than a contractor, and 2) he works shitty hours and has enough stress in his life, so it would remove at least one stressor to have a reliable vehicle. And it's hardly like he's buying some $35K luxury vehicle or steroidal monster -- the Frontier is a nice, small truck that will do everything he wants without breaking the bank. I think he earned it.
