It's FRIDAY!
It's FRIDAY!
And I'm awake! In fact, I'm pumped! And using a lot of exclamation marks! You see, while the process itself may not be the funnest in the world, if you do get up at 5:30 AM to work out, by GOD you feel virtuous (I decided to postpone last night's workout until this morning and try to get a full night's sleep, which I did by some miracle). Unfortunately my beloved didn't replace my SCRUBS disk in the DVD player, so I spent a half hour watching an episode from FIREFLY (which I don't mind -- it's just that I prefer to watch comedies when I'm on the reclining bike).
It's also raining again in the DFW metroplex, thank Cthulhu, so I got to walk home from the weight room through a fine mist of droplets. Apparently we're going to have thunderstorms today, and the possibility of some sleet, even. Well, it still is winter, even if the weather down here doesn't usually like to admit it -- maybe I'll even get to use my Magic Scarf again, whee!
Best of all about it being Friday, is that it means tomorrow
is Saturday, and Saturday is when the Bodacious Brit and I plan on going car
shopping for him. Yes, he's finally getting rid of the Jeep -- it was fine
as a beginner's car, but enough things are crapping out on it now (well, it
IS a '93 model) that repairing it just doesn't make financial sense. Besides,
we'd like to have something that's reliable for long-distance driving so that
I don't have to do all the driving on road trips (I have a manual transmission
Corolla, and Lyndon doesn't do stick shifts), so apparently we're going to
hit a Nissan dealer in McKinney and look at some trucks. Woo-hoo!
