The nice thing about birth control pills
Apart from the most obvious benefit, is that for the first time in my life, I know when the Crimson Tide will arrive, and can make appropriate plans. It also means that if I wake up cranky and craving chocolate, I know why (or at least I now have a good excuse -- admittedly, I do wake up cranky and craving chocolate at other points of my cycle).
In other words, today was the first day of my placebo pills, so I may be adding a brownie to lunch today. Unfortunately, the crankiness means I've also been snapping at a perfectly innocent QA person who found some audio problems with The Tutorial From Hell (aka the one I rewrote three times). As a result of this unfortunate discovery, the rest of my day will be spent tweaking caption times in RoboDemo and grinding my teeth down to ever-smaller nubs.
At least I had a decent night's sleep last night (which in itself is a rarity, thanks to pathetically meowing cats, a subconscious that hates me and a back that plays up if I'm prone for more than five hours), and the sun is actually shining for the second day in a row. Hopefully, a good lunch plus brownie will do something to improve my mood -- I'd hate to waste a nice day snarling.
Oh, yeah, I'm pre-menstrual
I want doughnuts.
Specifically, cake doughnuts. Even more specifically, Dunkin Donuts glazed chocolate cake doughnuts (although I will take glazed blueberry, with a plain or Old-Fashioned as a chaser). And no pawning Krispy Kreme off on me -- too greasy.
