Okay, it's officially Spring
Of course, the weather has now plunged back into the 40s and 50s. Whatever -- right now, I'm not in the mood to care about a whole heck of a lot, to be honest. I think the "general malaise" bit of Glucophage adaptation has kicked in -- I feel utterly wrung out, but not in a sick way, just in a totally exhausted, "leave me alone already, I don't CARE if the apartment is on fire" sort of way, so much so that I'm really looking forward to the weekend -- apart from a foray down to Fair Park and the North Texas Irish Festival, I plan on spending a good chunk of the time sprawled on a comfy horizontal surface. Can't Be Arsed Woman, c'est moi.
In fact, I just realized -- crap, I forgot to get my registration renewal and safety check done for the Hoosiermobile. I've gotta get that sorted out sometime this week. Faaaabulous. In the meantime, I'm trying to convince myself to work on all the pieces I owe to various people by doing it in bed. So far, all this has done is encourage the Black and White Terror to sprawl on me, effectively cutting off any egress to do things like, oh, go to the bathroom or retrieve the power cord from the kitchen without turfing him to the floor, at which point he starts yowling like a poor orphaned kitten because I had the temerity to move him from where he was comfortable.
Oh, the humanity. Or the felinity, in this case. I'm such a bitch. I also need to get one of those nice freestanding computer lapdesks, I think -- piling up the blankets so that I can position this thing comfortably is cooking my legs, no matter how comfortable Jordan finds it.
On the upside of things, however, EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING was released today on DVD, and apparently the Paul Schrader version will be screened in Germany this month and may get a DVD release, as well. As I told Lyndon, "Two doses of Stellan for the price of one -- can't beat that with a stick."
