The Big Red Bouquet
Is how it was described over the phone to Lyndon -- roses, carnations, two types of lilies and babies' breath in a big red glass vase wrapped with a perforated red metallic bow (the type at left also has lavender and larkspur, which was replaced by white carnations and a smaller tiger lily in my bouquet).
"Big Red -- I mean, it had to be a sign," he said to me later.
So he ordered it from a local florist, to be delivered to my office today. After some futzing about by a particularly dense delivery guy, mind you, who called me up on my cell phone and demanded, "Is this [My Company Name}?"
I looked around my cubicle. "Um. . .kinda."
He was lost. I gave him directions, and ten minutes later I had Big Red in my possession. I'm a happy camper, and I have the best damn husband in the world.
Thank you, honey. I love you SO much.
