Well, it's Monday, innit?
Which is about all that can be said for the day. Although I did come up with a great new sig file, inspired by people trying to tell me how to do my job:
Some days, there just aren't enough bitchslaps to go around.
It sings, you know it. So if you see it anywhere else, you know where it originated.
Lesse, what else? Well, Jordan decided to act like a total little shithead for most of the evening, climbing onto the top shelf of my computer desk and crawling out to the swinging arm where I keep my scanner, there to bat and chew at the Mardi Gras throw beads I keep there until the entire damn desk started shaking. I could just imagine the shelf coming down and taking out my scanner AND my cottage dollhouse underneath. The fabulous furbag, being a cat, would leap away just in time, stroll off to a corner and start licking himself in a "What?" manner, of course.
So I turfed him off. Then I turfed him off again. And AGAIN. *sigh* If I turf him out of the room and close the door, he starts clawing at the carpet, and half the time he can open the door anyway so it's pointless. The problem is, he wants attention -- sometimes he's fine, and then sometimes he just hates the fact that I'm doing anything at this computer (like, oh, work on a contract doc) instead of cuddling him and stroking his chin. And yet I did that already this evening, and the little shit jumped up after a few moments to wander into the kitchen. I swear, it's like having permanent two-year-olds in the place.
But I did get a slew of help pages done, so that's good. Slowly but surely, the work proceeds.
