Well, he's off
After getting up at Oh My God It's Early, I got him to the airport by 7:15 AM, ready to take off on Delta from Terminal E (where we've never been before -- we also got to see some of the construction going on at what will eventually be Terminal D -- VERY nice). Oh, and I'm pleased to say that my toll tag now allows me in and out of the airport, which is a goodness.
As for Lyndon, he's currently in Atlanta safe and sound at the hotel he wanted (right next to a mall) and with carpooling arranged for the next month. He text messaged me to let me know he landed safely, which is good. Then he text messaged me to tell me he loved me, which is better. Then he text messaged me to ask for the PIN number for the credit card. Hee. He's back on track.
We talked briefly tonight, but he was absolutely exhausted and ready to do a face plant in the pillow, so we'll talk more tomorrow night. In the meantime, I think I have a monster cold, and the cats have insisted on glueing themselves to me at every opportunity. They'll get used to the solitude (I hope). For that matter, I have to get used to the solitude. I think I'll feel better once I can get this fukaktah document finished, off my plate and start concentrating on writing again.
It's so quiet around here. *sigh*
