Can I have another weekend, please?
For
some reason I feel absolutely trashed
-- I'm finishing this entry up and going straight to bed. Hopefully I can dig
up some sort of energy tomorow.
The weekend itself was quiet and nice -- Saturday was spent enjoying a leisurely stroll through Antiqueland (where I saw a completed dollhouse in a cool modern style that I really really really really want. Why is it that I always see the cool stuff when I have no money? Arrgh. . .), and a long rewriting session getting "A Hell of a Note" finished in time for submission today. Today was pretty much spent at Julia's house helping her go through the slush pile for the Hell antho -- four hours, and my bum was screaming at the end of it. I have no faith whatsoever that she'll buy my story, but it was fun to write nonetheless.
And of course, since our COBRA expired on the 30th, Lyndon's come down with some sort of sinus infection that's making him absolutely miserable, poor sweetie. I'm sending him to the doctor tomorrow anyway, and we'll just pay for it out of pocket and juggle finances until the next payday. In the meantime, I'll go in and finish the paperwork for medical insurance through work -- it would've been nice to skip it for one month and catch up on all the Christmas bills, but considering what Dallas traffic is like, that's really a bad risk to take.
And now, sweetiedarlings,
it's me for bed.
