Woozy, summat
Didn't get a chance to do any writing this weekend -- the bulk of it was spent working on the contract job and wandering around feeling unpleasantly dizzy, so I'm hoping I can use lunch today to finish off the Space Wizards story in time for FutureClassics tomorrow night.
Speaking of the weekend, however, I did make a most marvelous discovery last night. After suffering through some mighty cravings for real pizza, I finally stopped in at a little pizza joint named Chicago St. Pizza to sample their wares. Turns out that the owners are indeed from Chicago -- we had a lovely chat about the Cubs, local churches, Bush and other topics of interest while they cooked a large stuffed sausage and cheese pizza that was simply superb.
While that was
cooking, I wandered down two doors to the Maitri Mart, an Indian grocery/video
store, where they carry PG Tips (teabags) and assorted other British foodstuffs.
Bought a box for the boy, and after snarfing down the pizza he trawled into
my office with a cuppa, smiling in bliss. I will be returning in the near future
for the makings of chicken korma and other Indian delicacies, yasureyoubetcha.
