GOOD FRIDAY
First day of the three day weekend
And I've spent the bulk of it doing laundry and painting trim. The only bad thing about buying your own trim for a Painted Lady style dollhouse is that 1) the pieces are usually finickity and 2) you're going to be doing a LOT of painting before you even touch the main body of the dollhouse.
For
the cottage, I have four working double-hung (don't go there, Steve) windows
(which are getting a small trapezoidal addition on the top molding), as well
the picture window, a small dormer window and the front door. The body of the
house is Bayberry, the architectural element Italian Sage, the light contrast
is Clover, the dark contrast is Hunter Green, and the punch color is essentially
ice blue. I'm painting the bodies of the window in Italian Sage, trim in Clover
and Hunter Green, and the decorative elements in COME BACK HERE DAMMIT, I WADE
THROUGH YOUR JOURNAL WITH NARY A QUALM SO YOU CAN BLOODY WELL SIT THROUGH THIS!!!
Oh, never mind. Go off and watch baseball, see if I care. In any case, I still haven't pulled out any of the house body yet and probably won't get to that until tomorrow. Which is fine, since I have to (wah) cut siding and stick it on before I can paint it anyway. Damn my detailed soul.
Anyway, have a nice Good Friday, happy Passover, and all that.
