TCIF
I can actually see the end of the contract documentation -- hosanna! And it's Friday, which means I can sleep in tomorrow (kinda -- we've got a lot of running around to do in the morning, but I don't have to get up at Oh My God It's Early) AND I just started listening to Air America -- finally, a liberal talk show channel. Yeah!
Okay, things to do today -- go to work and do good stuff there, go pick up a Pocky shipment after work for Steve's daughter, keep an eye on Jerry's daughter Jessie during the evening, clean the small bathroom and kitchen, do more work on the contract document, deliver the Pocky shipment, go pick up Lyndon from the airport -- yeah, we can do this.
He's home, and I'm burnt
Oh, my God, I'm so tired.
Work was fine -- we had the group meeting, then went out for a group lunch, which was fun. Afterwards, I gave my manager my copy of FOUR BUBBAS OF THE APOCALYPSE -- at last sight he was chortling over the title, so this could be interesting.
Dived out after work to pick up the girl's Pocky order from Anime Pop (which is a cool store -- I gotta check it out when I have more time), and sampled a box of strawberry mousse Pocky, which turns out to be pretty tasty stuff. I also picked up two cans of Tizer (one for me, one for the lad) and a bottle of Japanese soda with a weird marble-like seal. I then had a dilly of a time getting out of the parking lot thanks to two assholes in a van who blocked my view of the street (and were doing it deliberately, grinning at me all the time -- fuckers), so I was cursing their forebears by the time I got to Coit and steamed northwards.
Jerry, bless his heart, was about a half hour late dropping Jessie off, which gave me enough time to finish cleaning the bathroom and kitchen for the Arrival later that evening. She's been going through cable withdrawal, so I let her snuggle up with the WB while I headed into the office to do more contract work.
At 7:30 PM, I headed off to McKinney to drop off the Pocky, and made a fast dash through Albertson's and Wendy's drive through (I was starving) before dropping stuff off at home and asking Jess if she wanted to come to the airport or stay home and watch TV. Quite intelligently, she plumped for the tube, so I dashed off to the airport and picked up a joyous Bodacious Brit who kissed me thoroughly as soon as he got in the car. Whee!
Back to Plano and the apartment, where the three of us spent the rest of the night watching Comedy Central until Jerry arrived to grab Jessie. After which, it was time for jammies, bed and some desperately needed sleep with a gorgeous man next to me.
Ahhhhhhh. I'm tired, but I feel better.
