It's 75 degrees F out there. Ahhhhhh. . .
Y'all didn't get an update this weekend because, quite frankly, I didn't do dick. Didn't clean, didn't cook, didn't go anywhere, didn't do laundry, didn't write. I did shop a bit and picked up new tires for the car (YES!), but apart from that I was a bloody lazy sod. Dunno why, apart from the fact that I was awfully tired.
Whatever. Last weekend was productive -- sometimes you just need some time in which to veg.
Today was slightly more active, though. My company has a floating holiday policy between Columbus Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and since the weather promised to be absolutely gorgeous I took it today. Man, am I glad I did. Talk about lovely -- I strolled out onto the balcony while brushing my teeth to test the weather, and realized I didn't want to turn around and dash back into the bedroom before my tootsies froze. Yay!
So I had lunch at my favorite sushi place in Plano, then ambled down to the Galleria so that I could finally tell Patrick that I've been there. It was nice, yeah, but in the end it's just another mall (a very tony, high-priced one, admittedly). I did stop in at Sephora and pick up some of my favorite perfume (note to people who want to give Mellie presents -- if you can't afford a nice router with attachments, a bottle of J'adore by Dior will always be appreciated. I know, I'm such a contradiction. . .) and another bottle of hand soap at Williams-Sonoma. True to the Miller Curse, they've discontinued the kind Erin so kindly gave us as a housewarming present, so I had to switch to Basil hand soap, which is okay but doesn't have that lovely scent that the Rosemary hand soap had.
Man. I'm wittering on about hand soap. You can tell that this was a relaxing day, can't you?
Came home, dragged
the papasan chair out to the balcony and spent the rest of the afternoon sitting
out there, drinking Diet Cherry Coke and reading Pratchett while the cats prowled
around me. It's times like this that I bloody well love Texas.
