Can I get an amen!

Oh, man. It's going on 3:15 AM here in the Fletcher household, and I'm just about caught up on my journal entries for the past week or so. The trick is going to be getting Lyndon out of bed in time for work tomorrow, especially as I have a dreadful habit of hitting the alarm and going back to sleep on the weekends. We really need to get an alarm clock for his side of the bed, I think.

But the important thing is, it's the weekend, I have two days to myself in which to write and do some tidying around here (the place is still relatively clean, although there was a trail of water streaking out from under the dishwasher last night. I'll need to test it tomorrow and see if it's just a gummed up seal or if there's actually a broken hose somewhere in there *sigh*), and even though it's payday I don't really have any money because this is the rent paycheck so I have to stay in and get some work done in the house.

Making lemonade from lemons, that's me. I even had my first cheap lunch at Benihana's today -- I usually drop at least $16 - $22 in there for lunch on Fridays, but today I got out of there for $11.00, including the tip. Go me!

Oh, speaking of that (sorry -- Secret Diaries reference), I didn't mention on Wednesday that we finally got back to the theater to see the rest of LOTR: TTT. Brilliant, Helm's Deep was impressive as all hell, I still don't see what all the fuss is over Aragorn, Bernard Hill should be in the running for the next Dumbledore, and was anyone else expecting Merry and Pippin to snog after that emotional scene with Treebeard? Oh, my -- this is what happens when you hang around slash writers for too long (hi Janis!). I also think that I'm developing the tiniest crush on Billy Boyd -- there's something about his bone structure that makes me want to run my fingers along it.
