And she's back in the saddle!
The writing year is off to a good start -- three stories are in the mail as of an hour ago, and I'm going to get another one ready to mail tomorrow and another one on Saturday. My goal is to have at least five in the mail by the time the next FutureClassics meeting rolls around next week, as well as a story to submit (with any luck this should be the story Steve and I have been working on for the past few weeks). The plan this year is to sell more than one story, and the only way to do that is to be rigorous in submitting my work and writing new stuff.
I can do that. I can write new stories, you betcha.
Of course, I'm also back at the day job, but the place still has a bit of a holiday feel, probably because we only have two work days this week before the weekend. And Lyndon has to work the weekend, poor angel, so I'll most likely spend it tidying the place and working on the book and some stories. All in all, I can't complain, especially since -- ta da -- I got my Christmas present.
And what is my Christmas present, you ask? Why, it's a perfectly lovely Sony 120 Digital 8 videocamera, I'll have you know, and I've already been playing around with taping videos and uploading them to iMovie for manipulation. If you want to see a sample of my work (and can handle a 2MB download) click here to see myself and the Bodacious Brit in all our homebound glory.
I
would just like to say, however, that my teeth are not naturally that yellow
-- it's the camera. I do brush, you know.
