VALENTINE'S DAY
BOOyah!
It's
Friday AND payday, the Daredevil soundtrack goes on sale today, I think we're
going to see the movie tonight, my interview is finished and off to Liz for
editing, I just finished a manual at work, and I have the entire weekend in
which to write, clean the apartment and make a new dance costume in time for
ConDFW next weekend.
More importantly, however, it's Valentine's Day, and while Lyndon doesn't usually go in for what he terms "Hallmark-mandated holidays," I got back from the gym this afternoon to find a message on my voicemail from a florist saying that they wanted to deliver some flowers and please don't leave yet. Turns out they were already on the floor, and so I received a lovely (and absolutely humongous) bouquet of roses from Lyndon for Valentine's Day. One of my coworkers walked by, did a doubletake and said, "That's not a bouquet, that's an arboretum."
Say it with me, people -- awwwwwwwwwwwww. Thank you, sweetie. I've never gotten flowers at work before (I used to watch one of my managers get flowers on a regular basis, and always wished wistfully that someone would send ME flowers at the office) so I'm a very, very happy camper.
Screw the Orange
Alert (and no, I didn't buy any damned duct tape and tarps) -- life, she is
good.
