The Tax Man Approacheth
As it's that time of year again, I am now the proud possessor of TaxCut 2002 (thank you, pumpkin) -- now all I have to do is borrow one of Lyndon's PC laptops, make sure that I can install TaxCut on it (well, hey, it's a PC -- you never know), make sure that the laptop can be hooked to a printer, find all the tax paperwork that I've been storing on the filing cabinet in my office (and which is probably liberally covered with black and white cat hair, as the top of the cabinet is also Jordan's favorite place to snooze when he's tired of the catbed and I won't hold him), spin up our taxes, print them and mail them off.
Phew. I'm tired just reading all that.
I don't think we owe anything this year, but you never know until you enter everything and see the bottom line. Actually, Lyndon will probably be getting something back, and since I don't take any deductions and worked a full year I should be getting some sort of pittance back, too. I wouldn't say no to a couple of hundred right now, let me tell you.
In other good news, it's Friday, I have a buttload of cleaning to do over the weekend, I have to finish this interview for 3SF, I'm getting new glasses tomorrow (yay!), I ran a story idea past the guys during lunch today and got a really positive reaction so I'll probably start work on "The View from Ganymede" sometime this weekend as well, and all seems to be well with the world apart from the crumbling economy, the impending war with Iraq, the situation in North Korea and the Columbia aftermath.
Hmm. Wonder if
I can get a rose tint on those glasses. . .
