Busy like a little bee

Yesterday may have been a pain in the ass, but it was a necessary pain in the ass -- I was able to get the last of the help pages finished, tested, zipped and mailed off to the Big Cheese programmer by 7:00 PM tonight, which was 5:00 PM in San Francisco and COB (Cessation of Business), exactly when I promised my project manager that I would have the help pages finished and shipped off.

That felt good, considering how blindingly late the user guide was. Now I just have to get the reviews of the user guide back, incorporate them into the metadocument, chop that into five sections for the different user levels, overhaul the help pages of the sister tool, turn THOSE into a user guide, and everything will be fine, fine I tell you!

*pant*pant*faint*

Of course, the truly amusing thing is that I now feel like I'm on afterburners, flailing about and looking for the impetus that's been driving me unmercifully these past weeks. I used the coelanth metaphor for Lyndon -- now that I've been dragged to a section of low pressure, I feel like I'm going to pop. He gave me an odd look and moved all sharp objects out of my reach.

Hey, at least we'll have DSL tomorrow, and since I worked Sunday I can take the day off. I'm looking forward to it, baybee.
