What day is it again?
Ooerg -- I'd forgotten what it was like to really get into a crafts project. My legs have gone to sleep from sitting at the craft table for so long. Actually, most of me has gone to sleep from said sitting.
I can't help it -- when I start working on a dollhouse, I really dislike stopping until it's finished (another point in favor of the 1/24 scale -- since it's smaller, construction goes a lot faster), so I keep driving myself to do just one more section. So far, the walls have been painted inside and out, the floors are stained, and I've taped together the outside walls and glued them into the slanting cylindrical shape around the floor/ceilings, I have all of the window frames painted and sitting off to one side drying, and I need to start work on the entryway.
Sleep is for wimps. Real miniaturists do it in scale.
Yeah, fascinating, I know (and maybe moderately obsessive and weird). But I gotta say, this is a lot of fun for me -- while my hands are busy, I'm working on stories in my head, and I can write them down later when I have time and not quite as much paint layered on my fingers. I'm also totally relaxed and feeling good -- haven't had a palpitation all week, the shadows under my eyes are going away, and I've been positively purring.
Unfortunately I
can also feel my ass spreading from the lack of exercise. Must get back to the
gym forthwith, I think. Right after I paint the entryway. . .
