The Empire Strikes Back

Not that this should have come as much of a surprise to anyone -- it was only a matter of time before we started bombing Kabul and other areas in Afghanistan in an attempt to take down the Taliban and shake out Osama bin Laden.

And I have to say, I'm in favor of it. Yes, I know that some innocent people will die, and I'm deeply regretful of that. But over 6,000 innocent people died on September 11, people who never knew what was coming and had no chance to escape it. If there are Afghan civilian casualities (and let's be honest -- there will be), it will be a side effect of going to war, not deliberate murder.

And to quote Forest Gump, that's all I have to say about that.
