I knew it was too good to last

Oh damn, spit and dirty socks. Thunder just announced today that he's leaving at the end of the month. Dammit, why is it that every time I get a manager I like, they leave? I'm starting to feel like a fucking albatross, I really am -- in my first job, I'm not there a month before the Sweetie leaves and is replaced by the Yuppie Scum Queen. Then I go to work for the Johnson Center, and they lose their operating grant and I have to work half-time for the administration office (which was interesting in the full Chinese sense of the term).

I'd thought the curse was broken with the last two years in Sweden, but obviously it just works in the States and has returned with a vengeance. Arrgh -- I LIKE Thunder, dammit! Although I suppose I can understand his position -- he's not one to hang around, with the department shifting focus it was almost guaranteed that he was going to look for a more amenable job.

But still. Now I have to break in a whole new manager. This sucks. And I was feeling so damn cheerful and good yesterday, too.

Bleah.
