10+ hours on a plane. Oh joy. . .

But he's worth it. In spades.

I'm writing this at the American terminal at O'Hare, wedged into a fixed table and chair setup designed for a supermodel and working on the laptop since there's no way in hell I'll be able to do it on the plane (One of these days, as God is my witness, I'll never fly steerage again!). It seems that the cheapest way of getting from Dallas to Stockholm is through Chicago, which means a 2.5 hour jump between DFW and O'Hare, and an 8.5 leap between O'Hare and Arlanda.

Of course, that's cheapest in the monetary sense. In the sense of personal comfort and years off my life, I think I'm paying premium rate.

At least I left the folks in Dallas happy, which is good, seeing as I'm flying off for five days and it's only my second week at work. However, I finished all of my "must be done by Friday" jobs done this morning, and I can work on graphics and stuff like that while I'm in Stockholm, so they don't have a problem with this trip. In fact, since I have my digital camera with me, I can wander around and take some advertising-appropriate pictures (people at work, business shots -- I may even go into the office Monday afternoon and see if Anne wants to be famous).

Hmm. Wonder if that means I can write the trip off as a business expense. Must look into that.

Oops -- my plane is boarding. More tomorrow.
