And now, the wait begins

What wait, I hear you ask? Why the wait for my credit union to approve my car loan, of course. I faxed off all the requisite forms this morning, but nothing did I hear by 5:00 pm, which is making me somewhat nervous. This is supposed to be a guaranteed loan because I work for TBS, and the salesman at the dealership was telling me that it usually took two hours or so for them to process the request.

The only good thing about this so far is that nobody seems to notice (or at least hasn't complained) that I still have the rental car. I assume Ericsson is so used to renting cars for contractors, it's just assumed that I'll return it when I'm ready and they'll just send me a bill for the extra days or summat. Which is good, because there's no frigging way I can taxi all the way out to Northernmost Plano, thank you very much.

Still, I have to turn it back in sometime, and I'd like to finally have my own car (and a set of decent tires). So keep your fingers crossed that everything goes all right with the loan application, willya? Me, I'm going to bed -- after the stress of the last two weeks, I'm starting to feel completely crapped out.

Night, all.
