In sincere need of money

Damn, I hope I get my paycheck tomorrow. Of course, because I need it I probably won't see it until Monday, as usual.

You heard that right. It hasn't been delivered on time for the last two pay cycles, and I'm starting to getting pissed off about this -- just because I don't have a bank account and direct deposit yet means I get penalized by TBS's payroll system and local mailroom. It is to make your head go boom boom boom.

Now, I make a decent amount of money. And yes, I'm trying to stick to a budget and save dosh. However, I'm also trying to get things for the house that were discarded in Sweden (or have been missing altogether) -- simple things like dishes (I STILL can't find the fucking lapis dinner plates at Target. Been to four stores in the area and NONE of them have a set. Shit), dressers, a place to store the fifteen million videotapes we own, stuff like that. And they're all one-time purchases, which means I won't be spending money like this all the time.

But they are expensive one-time purchases, which means I'm running out of cash. If worse comes to worse I can take $50 out on the English credit card and live on that, but I don't want to if I can at all avoid it -- one of the few good points about Lyn and I being apart for so long is so that he can save oodles of money and pay off the Co-op card completely (which was run up in an attempt to get Tina her A-levels and slide her into university this year. Is she in uni this year? Hell, no. Is she going to be in uni this fall. She damn well better be. Yes, Tina, this is a hint).

Luckily, I can get along quite happily on peanut butter sandwiches and chicken breasts, so I haven't been starving or anything. But it would be nice to, like, actually get paid on payday? Oh, well. Probably won't do anything but unpack this weekend anyway.
