Listening to: Sarah MacLachlan, Mirrorball
Reason: Writing erotica, dontchaknow

Well, it is our first Tinaless weekend, after all. And the crimson tide even came to a stop on time, much to my amazement. Which meant other hormones could take their place in the sun, starting yesterday with a deeply weird (and illegal in a number of states) but extremely erotic dream about a HS teacher I adored, yum yum.

(And Patrick, who went to high school with me and got to watch this fixation at its juiciest height, is busy going "EWWWWWWWWWW!" Look, he played a big part in my sexual makeup, dear -- I don't have a choice about that. And it seems that my subconscious can get VERY creative with soap and water. . .)

Naturally, the Bodacious Brit and I have also managed quite a bit of quality time over the last 48 hours, thank you very much, including a fortuitous discovery today about the bracing qualities of the wall behind our headboard. In a word -- whee!

The festivities were followed by a lovely Sunday afternoon dinner and some videos. And now he's browsing IRC after a long, luxurious soak in the blue bathroom (our tub once again belongs to us -- YES!), while I'm deep in the middle of "I Play Dead" under the influence of Ms. MacLachlan. I love it when something just pours out effortlessly onto the page, and this one is flowing like the Amazon -- 2,354 words since I started it last night. Of course, it also helps that 1) I'm writing in hormonal overdrive, 2) I'm writing it in a somewhat OTT style, and 3) it's inspired by something very specific that I simply embellished with a "what if" scenario.

And what that is, I'm not gonna tell you, although the inspiring parties will probably be able to figure it out quite quickly. And I have to admit, it's turning out to be a hell of a lot of fun -- I haven't done erotica in a couple of years, and I forgot how much of a pleasure it is to write. I don't have the faintest idea where I can sell this one -- I think the sex scenes are going to make it a bit hot for the usual markets -- but I'll worry about that once it's finished and edited.
