Oh, man, I am utterly repulsed.

I was checking my February stats for the site (finally got Analog up and running properly so that I can recognize individual servers -- here's a big Dating Game kiss to Dangerous, Julia, Nigel, Trey, Jennifer, Jack, Margie and Ellen -- MWAH!), and I was glancing through the list of sites that have links back here. Lots of search engines, the SFLAaE/BS page, no surprise, assorted Lewis Carroll pages, yup. . .

And a few I didn't recognize. Being the inquisitive soul that I am, I hopped on-line and surfed to the pages. The first one appeared to be one that supports legalization of marijuana -- dunno why they linked to my site, but okay, whatever.

On to the second one. Which turned out to be a page in support of pedophilia, complete with a rather unpleasant illustration and a background gif of a little girl lying on her back with her tummy exposed.

Oh, shit.

My guess is that they're linking to my Lewis Carroll page (I didn't go any farther than the splash page because the subject material squicks me utterly, but there was a mention of various works of "literature" that included Carroll). Which leaves me with one of two options -- one, I can send an email to the webmaster demanding that they disable the link (which I'm going to do anyway, but I suspect it'll fall on deaf ears), or two, I can find a Perl script that will block that site from being able to open my page, which is what Lyndon suggested. Me, I wanted to put a big pop-up window on the LC page that said, "Attention Child Molesters from (site) -- Carroll was not a pedophile. Now fuck off and die!"

I still might do that. I am open-minded about various types of sexuality -- straight, gay, bi, B/D/S/M, fetish, whatever, doesn't bother me at all. However, I insist on the caveat "consenting adults." As far as I'm concerned, you can do whatever you like to each other, as long as:

everyone involved is an adult and
agrees to the act.

But pedophiles make me itch for an M-1 Garand. Pedophiles who try to include Lewis Carroll in their ranks make me itch for a shotgun -- it takes them longer to die that way.

Who, me bloodthirsty? You betcha.
