I'm starting to get ever so charged about London. Mainly because of the movies I plan to see while I'm there, but also because I'll be learning Javascript. Dedicated readers will remember my last trip to Learning Tree, whereupon I was completely blown away by Perl. Yeah, knowing some programming basics would have been smart (I swore up and down that I did NOT see it in the prerequisites, but apparently they were), but at least I got some nice books and a variety of Perl apps out of the experience.

Next week, however, is going to be better. The prerequisites were experience with HTML, experience with graphics, and some other stuff which I know cold. Hopefully, in a week from now I will be a neoguru on Javascript -- which will be very useful, seeing as I'm hacking together these new GUI pages for Materials Data and some of the code is just making me full blown gonzo confused. Once I'm a little more secure in what I'm doing, I can go back and change all the JSP pages with a degree of confidence.

Maybe. I hope. Aie.

Now I just have to do laundry, get this place moderately cleaned up, finish "Bartok and the Unicorn," and do all the fifteen million little tasks that need to be done before I have to hop on the big white bird. Best of all, the girl has absconded for the evening, so Lyndon and I have the place to ourselves.

Weelah. . .
