Monday, Monday. Gah. I'm starting to suspect that Sweden has contracted a small but dedicated cloud system to hang overhead and just piss down for days on end. I'm serious -- it's been raining every bloody day for the last week. I don't even remember what the sun looks like anymore, and that's not supposed to happen until the depths of winter. Yes, it's doing wonders for all the greenery in our garden (like that jungle ever needed help -- what it needs is Agent Orange), but I am starting to feel decidedly soggy. And it's Monday, which doesn't even bear mentioning. I have the feeling this is going to be the Week from Hell -- I have to revise all the help pages and user guide for a tool by Friday, and there have been a LOT of changes. Oh, well -- I suppose I don't really need sleep. Besides, a psychotic break might be fun. Oh, and on top of all of this, I'm in the middle of one of those "One one hand/on the other hand" situations. On one hand, it looks like I'm finally on the home stretch with this quilt -- as of last night, I finished quilting the body. On the other hand, it now looks like I have to rip out all the strip stitches on the border because they're making the edges ripple like romaine lettuce. This is not a minor task -- the border has eight lines of stitching on all four sides, two sides are at least a meter long, the other two are about .75 meters, and these are tiny stitches. I suppose I really didn't want my eyesight, anyway. Well, back to frog stitching. "RRRIPIT! RRRIPIT! RRRIPIT!" |
