Tuesday, Okay. After years of discussion and deliberation (and some out-and-out pleading on my part), my husband Lyndon has agreed to attempt the Great Experiment. He's growing a beard and mustache.
Now, we're not talking about a ZZ Top affair here -- he wants something that isn't going to interfere with food or flop into his work. I was angling for something Elizabethan, but he wound up shaving a sideburn in the process so it turned into an attempt at a Van Dyke. Here's set of Before and After pics:
Needless to say, I like it -- I think it makes him look like a good-hearted pirate. He thinks it looks weedy at the moment (he's only had it for four days) but is otherwise noncommittal. However, he's warned me that if it still looks sparse by this weekend, he's shaving it off before we attend his friend Dangerous's wedding. So why am I bringing this to the notice of the public? Well, what I need are opinions -- honest ones, thoughts on how he looks with his beard. Even if he does shave it off by the weekend, I can probably convince him to start growing it again on Monday if I have enough votes of confidence.
