Tumbling Tropics Two/Three

When Lyndon came back from New York, I proudly held up Tumbling Tropics One, my first completed quilt, for inspection. "Isn't it gorgeous?" I enthused.

He agreed. Then he took another look at it and mused, "You know. . .that would make a great kid's quilt."

From little acorns, and all that. Next thing I knew, I was committing myself to making two more quilts, in crib and twin size, for a friend's children.

But that was okay. Since Lyndon had to go back to New York on two more business trips anyway, I put a set of swatches in his luggage and sent him back to City Quilter for more fabric. Apparently the clerks were quite amused.

I finally finished the crib quilt on October 1, 1999 and the twin quilt on October 18, 2000. Hey, I never said I was fast.
