Granada Holmes Chibi
The backstory: a very talented artist and Sherlock Holmes fan named Sadyna has done a hilarious little series of manga-style comics called SH Babies, where the Holmes and Watson pairs from the BBC series SHERLOCK, the Granada SHERLOCK HOLMES series, and the '09 movie SHERLOCK HOLMES are turned into children and stuck in the same nursery (think MUPPET BABIES, only with very small consulting detectives).
After getting turned onto the coolness that is making plushies, I decided to take a crack at making plushie versions of her baby H&W couples. Here are the results:

His hair is made of individual strands of black linen yarn because I'm OCD and if that's what the cartoon looks like, that's what the doll will look like. And yes, it was a challenge to get it all on. |
You can't quite tell in this photo, but his eyes are indeed hazel green, just as BBC!Baby Sherlock's are pale grey-green. I'm trying to make their eyecolors match the actors' eyecolors as closely as possible. |
And yes, he has a bee on his bottom. |
Neither of them seem overly impressed with each other, do they? Wait until 09!Baby Holmes gets added to the mix. Also, upon further study I realized that the loose hair near Granada!Holmes's sideburns was way too bushy, so I trimmed it. Much better now. |
