BBC John Chibi
The backstory: a very talented artist and Sherlock Holmes fan named Sadyna has done a hilarious little series of manga-style comics called SH Babies, where the Holmes and Watson pairs from the BBC series SHERLOCK, the Granada SHERLOCK HOLMES series, and the '09 movie SHERLOCK HOLMES are turned into children and stuck in the same nursery (think MUPPET BABIES, only with very small consulting detectives).
After getting turned onto the coolness that is making plushies, I decided to take a crack at making plushie versions of her baby H&W couples. Here are the results:

I'm still not thrilled with the fabric for his onesie (for one thing, there's next to no give in it, and putting footies on it was just not happening), but it's the closest I could find to the reference artwork, so it'll just have to do for now He's obviously wondering where Sherlock is. |
Au naturel, in case anyone wants to see construction details (if his feet were going to be on display I would sew toe details like his fingers, but they'll be hidden by the onesie footies so I'm not bothering about it. |
